The Chisholm Fire
This photo was taken the next morning after the fire started. I discovered the fire at 21:30 hours on May 23, 2001. A crew of firefighters worked all night on the fire with no success at containing it.
Unfortunetly later in the afternoon on may 24th the winds had picked up and were switching direction ,  blowing the fire towards a heavily populated  area. By this time the head of the fire covered a large area.
At this point the fire was raging out of control. Firefighters were scrambling to protect people and there property. Every resource available was utilized. The winds were gusting upwards of 35 to 40km, and they just got worse after that.
